Kenneth Koch November 10, 2002 1:54 AM Joe was definantly one of the coolest cats in the bunch. As so many of these other stories, I too have memories of laughing alot when Millies was around. One night during Joe's freshman year in Charleston, I remember walking home late one night to the Warren Place to hit the sack, when I saw Millies at Pates apartment. I thought I was done for the night on that walk, but once Millies and I teamed up I got my second wind. I think we sat on the couch for about an hour and a half, taunting people and doing whatever we could to get a laugh, and we were laughing so hard it hurt. He even said "why do you make me laugh so much" because I don't think either of us had ever had that much fun just sitting on a couch in our lives. So alot like everyone else, I remember the laughter and just a great human being that I will always miss and admire. I am looking foreward to paddeling out tomorrow at New Symerna in his memory to pay my much deserved respects. << View Memories |
