"Take care of yourselves and each other, and always remember my motto:
It’s ok to work hard, as long as you play harder."

Joe was a true friend. His life was simple and he made everyone around him realize that a simple life is more relaxing, enjoyable, fun, and memorable. Joe and I connected at the College of Charleston in August 1997. We had a special bond. We had many laughs, talks and memories. I will never forget Joe's beautiful smile-it can take your breath away. I will always remember Joe's love for the ocean. Jordan's quote is perfect, "He carried the ocean, and now the ocean carries him." One of my favorite memories with Joe was his birthday and Halloween 1998 in Orlando, Florida with Jordan Pate, Meredith Folger, Anna Carr, Joe and myself. Since that night I have never laughed so hard in all my life. Just the memory brings a huge smile to my face. We laughed until we cried and had the time of our life. The memory was unexplainable and amazing! I will remember you Joe for the rest of my life. Friends are friends forever when the Lord is the Lord of them. You are with the Lord and he is watching over you. Joe, you did a fabulous job of living your dream- I hope each of us learn something from you and live our dream! I love you Joe.
