It’s ok to work hard, as long as you play harder."

I am so touched by everyones stories and how meaningful Joe was to everyone. I didn't get to hang out with Joe as much as I would have liked but I always remember seeing him surfing at the washout. He had usually just gotten back from a surftrip and of course the waves weren't too good but he was always stoked to be out in the water. I was lucky enough to hang out with him in Oz and we had some classic nights. Bennett and I had this old beater of a van that we ended up trading with Joe for a video camera. I think the beater didn't last too much longer and by luck of the gods the camera broke somewhere in Indo. He was just a classic guy and he always seemed to have the hottest chicks! I feel lucky to have known him even if it wasn't for long enough, but I know he's out there riding that perfect wave.
